Hello  All

As you may know we have had the opportunity to work on numerous

vintage animation memorabilia, and if you don't know check out our portfolio

to see some of the interesting pieces we have worked on in the past.

This post will mainly be involving Animation drawings on celluloid and paper, along with the backgrounds that help to enhance them.

During this post we will be showing you the process that was undertaken to enhance each of the six pieces.

Here are the six pieces in their original condition.

 #1 The Flintstones - Season 3, Episode 23 "The Dress Rehearsal" - 1963

Issue to be addressed - Animator originally drew to the edge of paper, leaving the piece

feeling unfinished. See the episode in its enti...

Hello All,

Been a bit of a hiatus for the last few months, but back again!

We have some new artists to showcase, two in fact, so as usual I will list them in order of appearance.

Sylvie Provost

First we have Sylvie, she is an artist hailing from the Laurentian region of Quebec.

Sylvie is an abstract still life and portraiture artist.

Stephen Gibb

Next we Stephen, an artist from the Windsor area, who does a bit of something like Lowbrow/pop surrealism.

I've just changed the window, so these pieces and more are on display, we would love to hear what everyone thinks of the additions to our roster.

December 13, 2017

Hello All

I've been scouring the many festivals of the city, braved many a hot and sweaty days, and during my mind addled tromp, somehow, (my memory is a little foggy on this point) I managed to convince

a bunch of new artists to join our ranks.

So may I present to you, in a much more coherent fashion, in order of appearance, Les Artistes!

Eduard Gurevich

I happened upon his work during the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition(TOAE), it was earlier in my visit, and my brain hadn't the opportunity to turn into a fried egg entirely yet.

Eduard is in a constant flux of working, as when I encountered him, he was whiling away his time producing new works, it was a landscape/aquatic scene, with big yellow tropical fis...

Hello All,

I know, I know, it has been too long, where have we been and what have we been doing?

Not to worry there are a bunch of posts coming up in the next little bit. But the task at hand is probably fairly apparent, what with all the hueless fluffy stuff getting all about. It is a whole bit of pretty all in all, especially the less frequented areas. (Riverdale Park below)

CC The City of Toronto

And so, As everyone is scouring the city looking for the perfect something for a someone.

We here at St. Germain Gallery will be accepting orders until the 20th of December with all orders being completed in time for the coming holidays, provided our suppliers can get the chosen stock to us, we will finish it or fin...

Hello  All! As the summer is in full swing, we here at St. Germain Gallery are having a hankering to get a little time off. So as of the 16th of July we will be gone, but don't you worry, we will be returning after our much needed rest on the 24th of the same month. We will attempt to finish all orders that come in the next few days before our fabled vacation.

So if you have a need to get that special painting or need a framing job done tout suite, we will do everything within our power to have it completed before we scamper off.

March 2, 2017

Hello all,

This was a project that we had previously done multiple years ago, we had always wanted to show it off but the old website was...well...not good at that sort of thing.

We were mainly resigned to strangely small images with details much too small to properly convey, what had happened and what was done about it, with misshaped red squares, neglected and alone, trying to gain the attention of those who would be willing to scrutinize the many points of interest with a magnifying glass.

This is about the size of it too, it did include the written word, to describe what most likely was unseen, it lacked depth, I am sorry, I was young and naive, I thought that maybe people would see the qual...
