That’s right! A few
Joan Miro pieces
came in for restoration
and re-framing, and
they were in a
bit of a state,
but we were able
to put them to rights.
The pieces were in poor condition in the beginning, acidic materials, undersized frame, limited spacing and it even had non archival foam core shadow box walls placed directly on the print. The acidity had to be flushed out, stopping any further deterioration.
Afterwards we framed them in proper Archival Shadow Boxes with an adequate amount of spacing, UV Plexiglas, and a strong enough frame to hold it all together.
Looking much better.
